  Katie Rose Needs Your Help

  Katie Rose is a little girl in Pine Grove, who was born with a rare tumor called a lymphangioma that is growing in her mouth.

  She has had 5 surgeries and 3 rounds of injections for the tumor in her mouth.  She is scheduled for another surgery in October 2011.  This will be her 9th trip to New York.  Donations are still being accepted as the family had a $10,000 medical deductible to meet every year.

  If the tumor isn’t completely removed, it could end up spreading into her face.  Dr. Milt Waner, an internationally recognized authority on hemangiomas, lymphangiomas, and vascular malformations, agreed to take her on as a patient.  Her first surgery was April 7, 2010.

  Katie’s Mom, Ilona Novaky, opened a special donations account for Katie at the Bank of Amador. Cash, or checks written to “Friends of Katie Rose” may be mailed to, or dropped off at any Bank of Amador Branch.
